Initial Setup Process

  1. Unbox your Trezor device - Ensure all components are present: Trezor device, USB cable, recovery seed cards, and lanyard.
  2. Connect to computer - Use the provided USB cable to connect your Trezor to a trusted computer.
  3. Visit trezor.io/start - This page will automatically detect your device model and provide appropriate instructions.
  4. Install Trezor Bridge - This software enables communication between your Trezor device and web browser.

Device Configuration

  1. Create a new wallet - Select whether you want to create a new wallet or restore an existing one.
  2. Install firmware - Your device will download and verify the latest security firmware.
  3. Set up PIN protection - Create a secure PIN that will be required to access your device.
  4. Generate recovery seed - Your device will produce a unique 12-24 word recovery phrase.
Security Warning: Write down your recovery seed on the provided cards and store them in a secure location. Never digitize this seed or share it with anyone.

Final Steps

  1. Verify recovery seed - Confirm you've correctly recorded your seed by entering the words in the requested order.
  2. Install wallet interface - Download Trezor Suite, the official desktop application for managing your assets.
  3. Receive cryptocurrencies - Generate receiving addresses to transfer your assets to your secure Trezor wallet.
